The Sushi Bar resides at number 15 on Bridge Street.

Number 15 had be left largely derlict, unused and in a very poor state since 2001. It served a brief cameo as "Hungry Joe's" in the summer of 2007, but after being vacted by Coral Bookmakers in 2001 was largely left in its 1960's state (the last time anything major was done to the building) to fade away.

Coral took residence in the venue towards the end of the 1960's as the law was changed a loop hole exploited for bookmakers to open their doors. For over 20 years it served its purpose as the bookmakers before they relocated to Watergate Street. Prior to this it was used as a butchers right back to early 1930's when its harder to trace its roots due to the numbering on Bridge Street changing around this time.

Below you can see a collection of pictures and video of the extensive 10 week restoration project which took place between January and March in 2009. Everything was updated to modern day standards and many hurdles were overcome to turn the extremly challenging yet beautiful and perfectly positioned spot into The Sushi Bar.
